Sidney Bolam received a BA in Fine Arts and Anthropology from Indiana University. A former painter and illustrator, she found the most satisfaction in carving Indiana Limestone, and several other varieties of stone. Sidney lives in the heart of limestone country, and enjoys exploring the local quarries to hand select stones to carve.Carvings are rendered using a little selection of hand chisels, an air-compressor, files, rotary tools and one very sharp flat head screwdriver.
She lives on a very small hobby farm in Brown County with her family. Besides making art, she enjoys gardening, keeping her animals, food, cheer and song… and maybe even a very occasional adventure.
